Drug and Alcohol Testing

To reduce the likelihood of injury, damage and other negative effects in the work environment, drug and alcohol testing can be carried out and is one of the many services that Working for Health offer.

Workers under the influence of drugs and alcohol are classified as a risk to themselves and others and it is the PCBUs responsibility to manage all workplace risks.

What a drug test does, is look for traces of drugs in the body by using a urine or oral fluid (saliva) sample. All urine and oral fluid drug kits have their accuracy externally verified and we only use the very best, calibrated breathalysers.

Drug testing may be carried out according to your organisation's policies and procedures and if it often a requirement for potential new employees.

Drug and alcohol testing may be carried out for:

  • pre-employment
  • reasonable cause testing
  • random testing
  • post incident testing

Should you require drug and alcohol testing for your staff please don't hesitate to get in touch.
